Wanderlust took the design team off the beaten track and into the open road. An infusion of different patterns and textures collide with rough and raw trims and finishes, highlighting handcrafted appeal and conjuring the excitement of journeys of traibal and cultural discovery. In developing the new signature print, we wanted the design to embody the essence of Helen Kaminski. The motifs are inspired by the crochet chain stitch: the starting point for all crochet stitches and the new SS13 core ‘TIKI’ stitch. Together with the raffia seed logo, the arrangement of the motifs echo the organic flow and forms of nature. Recalling the glamour of 50’s holiday destinations, linens and cottons are teamed with lace patterns, nature-inspired prints and summer checks. The womens palette of pretty pastels is grounded with sharp crisp white, while chain stitch details and bowed ribbons finish the look. Mens vivid blues, deep golds, stripes and corded trims are prompted by visions on the mariners of seaside resorts.
